Fügen for beginners

Beginners rating -
33
Perfect
Fügen warmly welcomes novice skiers. Right opposite the village gondola is a small beginner slope. However, the more spacious nursery area at the base of the Hochfügen region offers added lifts and ample practice space. As the week progresses, beginners can ascend higher to test the gentle blue runs. Do note that valley runs tend to be on the steeper side, so hopping on the lift for the day's descent might be a good call.

Intermediate skiers will feel right at home in Fügen. The mountains boast wide, impeccably groomed slopes with breathtaking mountain vistas at the top and scenic forested trails as you move lower. Highlights include the 7km red descent from Onkeljoch to Fügen. For those seeking a bit more challenge, Hochfügen promises steeper slopes. And to expand the skiing territory, the Zillertal Shuttle gondola connects you to the expansive Hochzillertal area.

Perfect
Fügen challenges the seasoned skier with its link between Hochfügen and Hochzillertal. To truly put those legs to the test, the black run from the Schnee Express chairlift is a must-try. This trail plummets over 1,000m, leading you all the way down to Achsau village.

Perfect
Snowboarders, Fügen has you covered. The resort offers expansive, smooth slopes, perfect for honing your boarding skills. The Spieljoch peak houses a modest snow park for those eager to take on ramps and jumps. However, do keep an eye out for the numerous draglifts, which can make mountain navigation a tad challenging.

Fügen for off-pistes

Perfect
Fügen's off-piste terrain is a freerider's dream, with its expansive backcountry areas and deep snow conditions. The Spieljoch area is particularly popular among freeriders, offering a variety of challenging terrains and untouched powder. Additionally, the resort's high-altitude location ensures consistent snowfall, providing excellent conditions for those seeking an off-piste adventure.

Fügen boasts wide summit slopes and tree-lined valley runs, making it an idyllic setting for family ski adventures. With a dedicated fun slope for children and minimal crowds, it promises quality family time on skis. Access to the Onkeljoch peak is a breeze with the village-edge gondola. Fügen apres-ski

Apres-ski rating -
Perfect
Fun
While Fügen's après vibe is more hotel bar-centric, a few village spots stand out. Spieljochstadl, located right by the valley run's base in Fügen, is the go-to for post-skiing refreshments. Bawa Lounge transforms from a pizza joint during the day to a lively sports bar by night, boasting pool tables, darts, a bowling alley, and even an escape room for those looking for a different kind of evening fun.
