Fieberbrunn for beginners

Perfect
Fieberbrunn has got the basics covered for beginners. The area around the Streuboden lift is an ideal starting point, with two pommel lifts and an easy valley run to get you in the groove. However, while there are long, gentle blue runs like those around the Obingleitn lift, some of the runs connecting different resorts might not be beginner-friendly.

This resort is an intermediate skier's dream, offering a plethora of fun blues and reds. The Streuboden lift serves as a good starting point, but the Larchfilzen area has fewer crowds and offers the same level of enjoyment. Also, Saalbach has an assortment of excellent red runs to keep you entertained.

If you're an expert, Fieberbrunn won't disappoint. The off-piste terrain here is abundant and best explored with a guide. There are several groomed black runs and a slalom stadium for those looking to test their skills. Also, the Henne area has challenging reds and blacks, but a day trip to Leogang and back will really test your stamina.

Fieberbrunn is a snowboarder's delight with its vast freeriding terrain and the Easy Park, which is ideal for beginners and intermediates. The resort is also home to the infamous Kitzbüheler Alpen, a freeriding area that offers challenging off-piste opportunities for advanced snowboarders. The resort's commitment to snowboarding is further demonstrated by its hosting of the Freeride World Tour, attracting top snowboarding talent from around the globe.

When it comes to off-piste skiing, Fieberbrunn is an underrated gem. The Larchfilzkogel area offers numerous line options and tree routes. Alternatively, the Reckmoos Nord Gondola provides access to dense tree routes that you can explore endlessly, though be warned, the area can get tracked out quickly.

Fieberbrunn for families

Fieberbrunn is a peaceful choice for families looking for a variety of pistes and high-quality snow. The village itself offers a proper mountain experience with local shops and family-run restaurants. In addition to skiing, there's plenty to keep the younger ones entertained, from splash pools and flumes at the Aubad water park to high-speed thrills on Timok's Alpine Coaster.

While quieter than other Austrian resorts, Fieberbrunn still provides spots for apres-ski fun. The Riverhouse is popular with younger crowds and offers affordable drink prices. S4 Alm keeps the mountain party going from mid-afternoon till late, and Fever Fountain Saloon adds a western-themed flair to the mix.
